Memorial Construction

You may have heard on the news or on social media about the tragic event that took place in April this year down South in Esperance. Singleton local and avid surfer, 17 year old Laeticia Brouwer, was fatally attacked by a shark while surfing with her father while holidaying over the Easter Break. Having lived in Golden Bay myself for the last 20 years, this hit very close to home.
A few months on and North Coast Design are pleased to announce that we are working alongside the Rockingham Council and the family of Laeticia to give her a memorial that she deserves. North Coast Design are donating our drafting and design services to complete the architectural drawings of a proposed lookout at the Singleton Beach to honour Laeticia’s memory. This will be a renovation / upgrade of the lookout currently at Singleton Beach Road.
We are still in the early concept design stage so won’t be giving away too much information on the design of the project. We will however, definitely be posting further about this job once we have made some progress and following it during the construction stage, as we understand how much it will mean to not only to Laeticias family and friends, but to the entire community.
North Coast Design are not the only ones volunteering their services for this project. LPD Surveys, the Rockingham Council and friends of family are only a few of the people that should also be commended on their contributions and offers to help.
This design once constructed will remain for many years to come, and will be able to be utilized by anyone attending the area.
